Release v3.10.5.1

Some important blocks turned out to be broken in 3.10.5.0. This unscheduled \ 
release fixes those regressions and includes a small number of other cleanups \ 
and fixes. v3.10.5.1 is intended to be ABI compatible with v3.10.5.0. We'd still \ 
recommend rebuilding dependent packages, if possible.
