Fixes to several DOS attacks that could be carried out
aginst a nasd server, ANSI'fication of most of the server and
client code, and significant rework of input and output mixer
handling in the voxware (OSS) server.

- fix some cases where the check for libX11 couldn't work at all by using
  C++ for compilation without including the proper headers

Verified using a full X11_TYPE=xorg bulk build without additional
