pigz version 2.2.5 has been released and is now available at \

- Change suffix to .tar when decompressing or listing .tgz.
- Print name of executable in error messages.
- Show help properly when the name is unpigz or gunzip.
- Fix permissions security problem before output is closed.

Initial import of pigz-2.1.4:

pigz, which stands for Parallel Implementation of GZip, is a fully
functional replacement for gzip that exploits multiple processors
and multiple cores to the hilt when compressing data.
