WHAT EXACTLY IS LIBPAR2?

libpar2 is a library for creating and using PAR2 files to detect
damage in data files and repair them if necessary. It can be used with
any kind of file.

libpar2 is the library to archivers/par2. It is not included in pkgsrc so far,
nor does installing archivers/par2 create it as a side-effect.
